Hoffman kiln Introduction
Hoffman kiln .also known as Roller kiln, is a continuous baking furnace designed by German Fridrich Hoffmann. Its shape is elliptic, roof are usually made of eight eagle. This continuous baking equipment, was a type of kiln once widely used in production of brick and tile in China, and at present are still popular used in some areas.
Since continuity kiln operations, large production capacity, and fuel combustion products roasting process from the cooling air required majority has been preheated with hot air, and combustion products – gas by preheating with time, the brick can be preheated sufficiently to make the exhaust gas temperature of only about 100 ~ 120 ℃, thus the fuel can be made rational use , the fuel consumption per unit product is much lower than intermittent kilns.
The coal Consumption of Hoffman Kiln firing every ten thousand standard brick (Chinese standard brick size 240 x115 × 53 mm) , usually is about 0. 8 ~ 1. 0t standard Coal (its calorific QPH = 2.93 * 1000kj/kg) , while the coal Consumption of intermittent kiln is three times of Hoffman kiln, per ten thousand 2.5 – 3 T of standard coal.
