Working Principle of Hoffman kiln
Usually Hoffman kiln can be divided into pre heating zone, Firing zone, and cooling Zone. Green brick do not move once enter hoffman kiln ,each zone keeps moving along Kiln roads because
of fire moves. The fuel starts to fire when put into kiln from Fire Open. The Air which required for combustion is from Cooling zone, The
cold air from cooling zone flows to Firing zone. Since the role of convective heat, cold air is heated into the hot air, this part of the hot air ,
Expect when the kiln equipped with drying room , some are draped pumped to drying room. the rest of the fuel Air reaches firing zone and
start used by fuel to fire. The flue gas generated by the combustion of the fuel continues to move to a per-heeating direction, exchange by
convection, conduction of heat, so that the green brick at pre-heating zone is preheated and heated, thus the flue gas temperature is
gradually reduced, finally discharged outside the kiln exhaust system.
For Each fire of hoffman kiln ,each zone distribution is approximately: Pre-heating zone: 5-7 kiln room, Firing zone: 3-4 room, Cooling
zone: 4-5room, Loading and unloading zone: 3-4 room.
In the normal production , although the flame constantly move forward (fire continuously forward speed is generally a day 20-40m),
each postion of zone move forward correspondingly, but the share of each kiln section have no major changes in the number, in a
relatively stable state.Therefore, In the actural production process, make sure each section balance management and operated, to make
the kiln keep normal production ,the quantity and quality can be guarantee.
